Both the Green Associates Exam and the LEED Accredited Professional with Designate Exam consist of 100 multiple-choice questions administered on a computer during a set time of two hours for each exam. A minimum score of 170 is needed to pass the exam.
- The Green Associates Exam tests an individual’s knowledge and skill to understand and support green design, construction, and operations.
- The LEED AP Exam tests an individual’s knowledge and skills necessary to participate in the design process, to support and encourage integrated design, and to streamline the application and certification process.
- LEED AP candidates must pass the Green Associates Exam, as well as the LEED AP Exam; candidates may choose to sit for both during the same testing period. The Green Associates Exam will be administered first, followed by the LEED AP Exam. Both exams have a two-hour limit.
