Important Notice!

All individuals who engage in Residential Mortgage Origination must complete 20 hours of Commerce-approved education by September 1, 2010, as well as 8 hours of continuing education.

Recent changes to Section 58.126 of the Minnesota Mortgage Originator and Servicer Licensing Act require 20 hours of approved education—and an additional 8 hours of annual continuing education—for all individuals engaged in residential mortgage origination.

The new requirement became effective September 1, 2009 and the mandatory 20 hours of education, plus an additional 8 hours of continuing education, must be completed and reported to the employing licensed entity by September 1, 2010.

To meet this new 20-hour requirement, Kaplan Professional Schools will begin offering a new 20-hour course in October of 2009. Click here to view upcoming dates.
